Welcome to Camp Newman Summer 2010!

Our mission is to create sacred communities of living Judaism that endow children, youth and adults with a positive Jewish identity and community, personal growth & self-esteem and lifelong friendships & role models.

We fulfill this mission by inspiring campers and staff to take camp home and apply the Jewish values learned to their daily lives, ultimately bettering themselves, their communities and the world. Guiding principles include Tikkun Olam (bettering our world) through Tikkun Middot (bettering ourselves); Gimilute Chasadim (acts of loving kindness); Betzelem Elohim (all humans are created in a divine image); Talmud Torah (love of learning for learning sake); Ahavat Israel (love of Israel).

We understand that sending your child to camp takes a great deal of trust and confidence on your part. You can be assured that while at camp your child will be safe and secure, both physically and emotionally. We understand the developmental needs of children and have adapted our program to suit the needs of every child. Our hope is that your child will participate in a transformative experience while at camp, developing new skills and abilities while developing a greater level of independence, self confidence, and self-sufficiency. The camp experience is one that will not only positively influence your child, but will hopefully engage you while you watch your child develop and grow.
